Features
Customizable settings

– A full settings menu integrated directly into the BeamNG UI.

– Changes are applied instantly.

– Settings are automatically saved between game sessions.

– There is a button to reset all settings to default values.

Realistic smoke while drifting

– Smoke visible during gentle drifting and controlled skidding.

– Smoke density gradually increases during longer and more aggressive drifts.

– Smoke intensity reacts to engine power, tire grip, slippage and wheel speed.

– Layers of core and outer cloud particles create a denser image.

– Smoke first forms around the tire and then spreads outwards and upwards.

– Longer drifts create larger, denser and more lasting clouds of smoke.

 Wheel Slip and Brake Smoke

– Drive wheel slip creates realistic tire smoke.

– Freewheel slip and low speed skidding are fully supported.

– Smoke intensity increases with wheel speed, available grip, and engine power.

– Brake smoke only appears when a wheel actually locks up.

– Vehicles equipped with ABS do not produce unrealistic brake smoke.

– Vehicles without ABS may produce wheel lock smoke during hard braking.

Smoke and Airflow Interaction

– Soft depth interaction prevents smoke from passing through the body of the vehicle.

– Pre-generated smoke clouds react as the vehicle passes through them.

– Vehicle speed creates a subtle trail of air through the smoke.

– Airflow directs smoke to the sides, roof, and rear of the vehicle.

 – The strength of this interaction is automatically scaled according to the speed of the car.

Mud and Rough Road Effects

– Completely redesigned mud effects for different surfaces.

– Denser dust when driving fast on rough roads, wheel slip and skidding.

– The strength of the effect reacts to wheel speed, surface contact and skidding.

– Unique effects for mud, mud, gravel, sand, gravel roads, grass and swamps.

– Aggressive drifting on rough roads creates larger and more energetic clouds of mud.

– Mud clouds interact with the air flow as the car passes through them.

Exhaust Effects

– Improved layered exhaust smoke with smoother and denser shapes.

– Cold exhaust fumes naturally expand after exiting the exhaust pipe.

– Exhaust smoke gradually disperses and does not dissipate quickly.

– Use smoke to illuminate the scene and better integrate with the surroundings.

Fire and exhaust backfire effects

– Redesigned in-car fire effects with smoother flame motion.

– Different flame sizes for small, medium, large and fast-spreading fires.

– Improved colors for flame, exhaust gases and exhaust backfire.

– Separate flame elements with blue, orange, red and glowing colors.

– Large fires produce dense, expanding black smoke.

– Smoke from fires can create an air trail when the car passes through it.

 Radiator and Coolant Effects

– Improved steam from damaged radiators and cooling systems.

– Separate layers of condensed steam and light coolant mist.

– Effect strength reacts to coolant leak rate and temperature.
